About the Artist:
A painter, sculptor and master printmaker, working with the traditional technique of intaglio & mezzotint. His etchings, engravings and drypoints of trees and wooded areas convey a mysterious feeling that goes beyond realism. He turns his own backyard, in the Catskill Mountains, into delicate tonalities and mysterious landscapes. His subtle monochromatic tones are reminiscent of 17th century depictions of nature.
